Volumes I & II are in their original softcover, Atlas volume III is a hard cover and made of loose plates, in case, as published. The ribbon seen in images that tie volume 3 together is all original to the publication.  All three books are in beautiful condition and contain great images in volume III.  This is an unread first edition set with its pages uncut. Meaning its been housed for almost 100 years, on a flat surface since published.
